The Margery Fish Nursery

East Lambrook’s Specialist Plant Nursery offers unusual and historic cottage garden plants, many propagated from Margery Fish’s celebrated garden. The Nursery is open for plant sales Wednesday till Saturday through March.

We run a specialist plant nursery that offers unusual and historic cottage‑garden plants. Moreover, we focus on keeping the Margery Fish planting legacy alive through careful propagation and seasonal selection. As a result, visitors can explore and buy characterful plants that reflect the spirit of East Lambrook.

Our nursery has been flourishing for over 70 years and remains at the heart of the cottage gardening movement. Many of the specialist plants we offer are propagated directly from specimens growing in the historic garden or collected seed. But, we also source plants from other specialist nurseries to round out our stock. The selection available ensures authenticity and a living connection to Mrs. Fish’s vision. Several varieties even carry names linked to East Lambrook or to people associated with its story. This adds heritage and character to your purchases and is like taking a living piece of the garden home with you.

Unlike “Garden Centres”, our curated collection focuses on uncommon and unusual plants that are not easily found elsewhere. For those seeking something distinctive and special, East Lambrook’s nursery is the perfect destination.

The Nursery is open to visitors during normal garden hours or by appointment. Also from Wednesday to Saturday in March or, by appointment. Contact: Nursery@Eastlambrook.com
